Robin Hood

A big-budget version of the Robin Hood myth which begins when Robin (Kevin Costner) returns from the Crusades, accompanied by a Moorish companion, to find his father dead, having been accused of devil worship. Vowing revenge, Robin soon finds himself with a price on his head and joins the oppressed peasantry in battle with the evil Sheriff of Nottingham (Alan Rickman).

The Torch Theatre’s Sunset Cinema returns this year starting its two week tour around Pembrokeshire. Bring a blanket, bring a picnic, bring your friends and join us for a magical evening under the stars. Join us for an evening of cinema and wonderful pre-show entertainment.

Gates open at 7.00pm and film starts approximately 9.30pm.

This night is brought to you in partnership with Film Hub Wales and Carew Castle.

Carew Castle’s rich history spans over 2,000 years and tells of knights of the realm, kingmakers, Elizabethan intrigue and Civil War devastation. The magnificent Castle is one of the most architecturally diverse in Wales, from the west a medieval fortress with imposing towers and impregnable walls, yet from the north the magnificent view over the Millpond is of an Elizabethan mansion with splendid mullion windows. Today this special site is run by the Pembrokeshire Coast National Park Authority and offers arguably some of the most spectacular views in the National Park.
